Lighting, panels & electrical upgrades. Find the people and information to take your project forward.

KNOW BEFORE YOU CALL

Good questions to ask about electrical.

Panel upgrades, EV chargers and older-home rewiring need a licensed electrician and usually a permit. Safety and code compliance come first, then convenience.

QUESTION 01

Can my panel handle what I’m adding?

EV chargers and heat pumps can require a service upgrade.

QUESTION 02

Who pulls the electrical permit?

An inspected job protects you when you sell or insure the home.

QUESTION 03

How will you handle older wiring you find?

Ask before work starts how surprises will be priced.

Before you hire: In Washington, most contractors must be registered with the Department of Labor & Industries (L&I). Look the business up with L&I’s Verify a Contractor tool before you sign anything. In Oregon, contractors who work on homes must be licensed by the Construction Contractors Board (CCB). Check the license on the CCB website before you sign anything.
