KNOW BEFORE YOU CALL

Good questions to ask about heating & cooling.

More Northwest homes are switching to heat pumps for efficient heating and summer cooling. Proper sizing and installation matter more than the brand name on the unit.

QUESTION 01

Will you do a load calculation for my home?

Sizing by square footage alone leads to oversized or undersized systems.

QUESTION 02

Can my ducts and electrical service handle it?

Duct changes or a panel upgrade can change the price.

QUESTION 03

Which rebates or incentives might apply?

Utilities and programs change often, so ask what’s current.

Before you hire: In Washington, most contractors must be registered with the Department of Labor & Industries (L&I). Look the business up with L&I’s Verify a Contractor tool before you sign anything. In Oregon, contractors who work on homes must be licensed by the Construction Contractors Board (CCB). Check the license on the CCB website before you sign anything.
